We have been going to Visalaje for many years for holidays. It is for us a visit to a place that can create solitude, peace. An annual digital detox. Days spent in the woods. Absolute detachment from the hustle and bustle, worries. The occasional whistle of a children's camp from behind the hills. And from afar, one can watch the miniature tourists on the opposite hilltop and imagine the clinking of kofolas at the thatched Visalaje Hotel. Early morning herds of deer and deer. Deep nights and star-filled skies, the nocturnal eyes of foxes and wildlife.
